She was predeceased by : her parents, William Oneal and Pauline Dawson; her husband John T. Marlar; her sisters, Barabara McCreless and Francis Grissom; her nephews, Thomas Grissom and Keith Waldrep; and her niece Trina Grissom.

She is survived by : her son Johnny Marlar; her sister Charlotte Posey; and her grandchildren, Chelsie Marlar and Kristi Hamm.
