With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Travis Powell of Tuscumbia, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Travis left this world on November 17, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Powell and Bertha Powell; his granddaughter Katherine Sparks; his sister Ruby Powell; and his close friend Margaret Seal.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Dugger (Troy) and Donna Norrod (Greg); his siblings, Donald Powell (Bonnie), James Powell (Bess), Lucille Powell and Rachel Reese (Billy); his grandchildren, Christopher Sparks, Greagory Sparks and Stephanie Tiller; and his stepgrandchildren, Stephen Norrod (Traven), Pricilla Lynne (Tim), Alan Dugger (Ralene) and Whitney Schmidt (Preston). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Colbert Memorial Chapel (700 US-43, Tuscumbia, AL 35674). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
