He is survived by: his children, Pamela Mathis-McKnight and Charles "Chuckie" McKnight (family: Gregory McKnight, Myron McKnight); his grandson DeVonte'Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Da'Mauriea Higgins-Carpenter, Kai'Lyn, Londyn Watson and Da'Nyla Carpenter; and his sisters, Delphine Allums and Mary Marks.
