He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Claffey; and his children, Mike (Brenda Snider), Julie (Mike Anthony), Nora (Tom Frye), Nickie (Check Wemer), Edward Claffey, Trina (Gene Massengale), Melissa (Jeff Sipos) and Christena (James Moore).
