He is survived by: his wife Marie Presley Gooden; his daughter Yashica Avery Bradford (Johnny); his granddaughter Shontae McCants; his children, Cynthia Jelks (Phillip), Wilbert McCants, Richard McCants, Katrina White, Marty McCants and Stephanie Coverson; his siblings, George Gooden, Minnie L. Gates, Claudia Virginia Murphy, Daniel Gooden and Rev. Irvin Gibson (Christine); his grandsons, Eric Glenn and Massen Vaughn; his in-laws, Betty Jean Gooden, Gail Smith, Jacqueline Presley, Sadie Gresham, Catherine Blunt, Mary James and Johnny Presley; and his grandchildren, Tel'neschia Jones, Yasmeen Dardy, Jasmine Dardy, Yakera Dardy, Erynn Dardy and Steven Avery. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, extended family, devoted friends.
