It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Avery of Valley, Alabama, born in Abbeville, Alabama, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lurlene Horton and Donny "Chief" Horton; and her brother Darrell Adkins. She is survived by : her siblings, Donna Cadena of Columbus and Don "Red" Horton of Lilburn; her children, Crystal Avery of Columbus, Matt Avery of Columbus, Georgia and Josh Mathis of San Antonio, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Caden, Mady, Helena and Ryder. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that everyone pay it forward with an act of kindness to someone as D would have.
