She is survived by: her close friend Charles Copeland; her children, LaFavor Taylor Martin (Robert), Davonte Allen, Makayla Truitt, Shamya Johnson, Jessica Lampkin and LaKisha Jacobs; her grandchildren, Dontavious Billingsley, Ma'Stephon Taylor, Mar'Quayvontay Thomas, Johntavious Simmons (Kinny), Jonquavious Barnes, Jamonica Barnes, Stantavious Roberts, Damonie Barnes, Darnika Hutchinson and Brianna Dunn; her siblings, Clarence Barnes (Lasheika), Micheal Barnes, Freddie Barnes, Bernard Barnes, Larry Barnes, Tommy Barnes, Donald Barnes, Arthur Barnes, Terry Barnes, Glenda Joe Slaton and Zelda Patterson (Napoleon); her aunt Gertha Rudd; and her nieces, Betty Dooley, Tonya Gibson and Kendra Moreland. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Dimensions Worship Center (5610 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Pine Hill Cemetery (2167 22nd St SW, Lanett, AL 36863).
