He was predeceased by : his parents, George Murphy and Imogene Murphy; and his brother Phil Murphy. He is survived by : his wife Judith Murphy; his sons, Mason and Brian; and his grandchildren, Justin Murphy, Libbey Kelley and Macy McElvy.

A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fairfax First Baptist Church (510 Denson St, Valley, AL 36854).
