He is survived by: his children, Cynthia McCants Jelks (Phil) of Lawrenceville, GA, Wilbert McCants of Valley, AL, Richard McCants of Atlanta, GA, Katrina McCants White (Robert) of Sacramento, CA, Marty McCants (Julia) of LaGrange, GA and Stephanie McCants Coverson (Eric Coverson) of Newnan, GA; his grandchildren, Shontae McCants, Kennedy Johnson, Quinisha McCants, Briana McCants, Anthony McCants, Quintresia Upshaw, Dontae Davidson, Patience Grey, Ty McCants, Breaka Robinson, Hanna McCants, Cithanna McCants, Brittney Harrell, Eric Glenn, India McCants, Asia McCants, Ivory McCants, Justin Jones, Luna McCants, Eryron Coverson, Collin Coverson and Cody Coverson; his sisters, Bernice Gibson Cullwell (Allen) and Rudine McCants Woodyard; and his nephew Johnny Smith Jr.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church (206 Huguley Rd, Valley, AL 36854).
