He was predeceased by : his parents, Dot Smallwood and Duck Smallwood; and his sister Kay Calhoun. He is survived by : his wife Jane Thompson Smallwood; his children, Kristi Piper (Brent) of Hoover, Alabama and Jeremy Smallwood of Lagrange, Georgia; his grandchildren, Myah, Trent, Kyle, Kory, Ayvah Piper, Kolby and Kalyssa Smallwood; his great grandchild Nalah Benton; and his nieces and nephews, Leigh, Geoff and Brian Phelps.
