He was predeceased by: his wife Emma Luann Templeton; and his children, Kim Templeton, Becky Earles, Wendell Kellum, Tina Pugh and Dinky Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Anita Bailey, Deborah Akins, Glenn Templeton and Larry Hurley (Paula). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
