With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lissie Jean Seagraves Volkmar of Valley, Alabama, who passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Lissie departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lissie. Though Lissie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Iva Seagraves and Mary Seagraves; and her siblings, Gay Franklin, Betty Blanton, Leggie Seagraves, Elvie Saylers and Edgele Saylers.
She is survived by: her children, Rondal McKenzie, Vickie Whitesock, Anthony "Tony" Volkmar and Donita "Dee Dee" Fulmer. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
