She was predeceased by: her parents, Gus Hadaway and Mary Lois Hadaway. She is survived by: her husband James Ralph Hamil; her daughter Ellie McKeehan (Buford); her grandchildren, Glenn and Jason Short; her great grandchildren, Christopher Short, Danielle Short, Jenna Short and Jared Abney; her son Jerry Hamil; her brothers, Warren, Bryant and Rance; her parents-in-law, Elsie Hamil and Herman Hamil; and her siblings-in-law, Raye, Rudolph Hill, Faye and Tom Gauntt. She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854).
