It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nedra Brooks Core of Valley, Alabama, who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Jada Dent, Harlee Brooks of Auburn, AL and Malik Dent of Tuscon, Arizona; her granddaughters, Zora Dent of Newnan, GA and Xyla Dent of Newnan, GA; her father Stanley Jackson of Dayton, OH; her brother Bransi Brooks (Erin) of Dothan, AL; her stepsister Kanisha Holloway of Opelika, AL; her aunts and uncles, Debora Roberts (Otis) of Lanett, AL, Tanya Gates of Lanett, AL, Brenda McCulloh (Marvin) of Valley, AL, Linda Booker of Valley, AL, Wanda Isom of Cleveland, OH, Henrietta Hughes of Atlanta, GA, Henry Brooks, Jr. (Annette) of Valley, AL, Henry L. Jackson of Valley, AL, Anthony Frazier (Bernice) of Valley, AL, Otis Jackson (Kathy) of Panama City, FL, Johnny Isom of Cleveland, OH and George "Billy" McCants, Jr. of Valley, AL; her cousins, Nakesha Brooks, Taranesha Brooks, Richanda Moss (Reginald), Elisious Boyd, Zantamarious Boyd, Stephanie Jackson, Yasmin Johnson, Rev. Christopher Jackson (Cythnia), Martinez Booker, Connery Booker (LaShawta), Kemiski Jackson (Deketria), Henricus Sherrell (Dinesha) and Eric Frazier; her close friends, Marcia Thomas (Johnny), Natalie Fannings, Jacqueline Ramsey and Charmeka Brown; and also Priscilla Holloway of Valley, AL. She is also survived by other cousins, special friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church (206 Huguley Rd, Valley, AL 36854).
