He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Giles and Macon Summers; his daughter Cadace Summers Carlisle; and his sisters, Helen Fuller and Janet Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Royal Summers; his sons, Allen Summers (Leigh) and Kevin Summers (Danielle); his grandchildren, Michael Summers (Kelsey), Casey Summers, Mark Summers, Lynsay Oleson (Matthew) and Alex Fields (Luis); his great grandchildren, Colton Summers, Hunter Summers, Layla Summers, Foster Oleson and Summer Oleson; his siblings, Shirley McLemore and Gary Summers; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Edenfield, Beverly Brewer (Bobby), Dan Royal (Brenda), John Fuller, Yolanda Summers and Lucian Royal (Woody McLemore).
