He was predeceased by: his wife Mavilene Ervin; and his daughter Sandra Sheppard. He is survived by: his children, Curtis A. Ervin, Jr., Rodney Monts, Debra Myers and Rhonda Stephenson (John). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and twenty three great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and extended loving friends and family.
