She was predeceased by: her father Virnue Dee Gothard; and her sister Laura Wright. She is survived by: her husband Pete Higgins of Verbena; her children, Nathan Higgins (Carrie) of Clanton and Rachel "RayRay" Higgins of Verbena; her mother Irene Gothard of Jemison; and her sisters, Charlotte Ray (Wendell) of Jemison and Sandrea Gothard of Jemison. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
