She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley "Buster" Merchant and Adell Merchant (Herron); her spouse Shorty Cantrell; and her siblings, Rollie Herron, Gerald Merchant and Mary Jo Gilmer.
She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Stockman (Bruce Watkins) of Vernon, AL; her grandson Tyler Stockman (Tina) of Vernon, AL; her great grandchildren, Hunter Stockman, Harper Stockman and Hunter Gallop; and her siblings, Sible Thomas (Brooks), Helen Cantrell and Pud Merchant (Mary). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (8901 AL-18, Vernon, AL 35592). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
