He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard and Dorothy Mae Johnson (Rogers); his wife Dorothy Sue Johnson (Atkins); and his brother Donald Ray Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Paula Stanford (Greg) of Vernon, AL and John Paul Johnson (Sharon) of Sulligent, AL; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Tolleson (Zack), Tori Stanford, Tanner Johnson (Katlyn) and Dalton Johnson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home (8901 AL-18, Vernon, AL 35592). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
