He was predeceased by : his mother Idell Bullock Armstrong; his daughter Julie Ann Armstrong (Billy); his father Joel Franklin Armstrong, Sr.; and his siblings, Joel Franklin Armstrong Jr., Aubrey Lee Armstrong and June Elizabeth Armstrong.

He is survived by : his wife Judith Bearden Armstrong; his children, Robby Armstrong (Sandi) and Joel Armstrong (Julie); his grandchildren, Sam Armstrong (Cassidy), Rebe Armstrong, Emily Armstrong (Jack Reed), Caroline Armstrong, Sophia Armstrong, William Tapscott (Delaney), Duncan Tapscott, Caitlin Goris and Addison Armstrong; his great grandchild Abigail Armstrong; and his sisters, Linda Armstrong, Idell Raths (Tim) and Adell Armstrong. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Bob Armstrong can be made to the Legacy of Hope, Alabama's organ and tissue donation alliance.

He was such an important person in our lives, always greeting us with a smile at Armstrong BP, making small talk about the news of the day, bringing our vehicles back into service and always with a Christian quote or conversation.
