He was predeceased by: his wife Samai Hoyle; his parents, Mary Agnes and Wilmer Hoyle; and his sister Gwynette Hoyle Krebs. He is survived by: his children, Emery Hoyle (Shannon) and Kim Hazelwood (Matt); his grandchildren, Walker Hoyle, Virginia Kate Hoyle, Perry Hazelwood and Olivia Hazelwood; and his brothers, Wayne Hoyle and Gerald Hoyle (Mary). He is also survived by niece and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bold Springs Presbyterian Cemetery (7544 Cahaba Valley Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242).
