He was predeceased by : his wife Pat Turner; his daughter Julie Ann Turner; his granddaughter Renee Thompson; his great grandchild Josiah Corey; and his sisters, Willamena Prine, Ona Mae Mathis and Mary Ann Williams.

He is survived by : his children, Scott Turner (Kelly), Preston Turner (Sheila), Gina Thompson (Herbert) and Paul Turner (Tabatha); his grandchildren, Kimberly, Randi, Ashley, Brandon, Brittany, Lizzy, Bailey and Sabrina; his great grandchildren, Josh, Caleb, Mary, Trevor, Riley, Logan, Carley, Abby, Jase, Avery, Maddison, Makenzie, Bentlee and Alice; his great great grandchild Shelby; and his siblings, Gaines H. "Buddy" Turner and Nancy Emmaline Stewart.
