She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Lee Wilkinson and Nettie Louella James Wilkinson; her husband Jefferson D. Thomas Jr.; and her children, Farris Joan Thomas Bennett and David Byron Thomas.

She is survived by : her daughter Judy Dianne Thomas; her grandchildren, Amy Bennett Prisoc (John) and Michael William Thomas McEwan; her great grandchild John Tyler Prisoc; and her son-in-law Melvin Barry Bennett.
