He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Phillips Deason; and his brother Teddy Austin Deason. He is survived by: his wife Karen Thomason Deason; his daughter Stacey Smith (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Steven Austin Deason and Callie Elisabeth Smith; his sister-in-law Ginger Deason; and his friends, Molly and Ollie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
