It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jane Mayfield of Warrior, Alabama, who passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. "Dock" McPherson and Sybil McPherson; her sister Faye Patton; and her daughter Teresa Pierce. She is survived by: her children, Loretta White and Bennie Mayfield (Carla); her grandchildren, Shalina Scholl, Drew Mayfield (Danielle) and Cara Moore (Cody); her great grandchildren, Kinsley, Kiley, Kenady Scholl, Cooper and Chloe Moore; and her brother-in-law Bobby Patton. She is also survived by other extended family members and dear friends.
