She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anderton and Velma Hunter Anderton; her husband Robert Duane Phillips; her daughter Paula Joy Fields; and her siblings, Imogen Arbin, Hoyt Bernard "Bonn" Anderton, Mary Helen Kelsoe, William Seburn "Shorty" Anderton, James Marvin Anderton and Velma Joan Shauger.
She is survived by: her son John Robert Phillips (Sandra Lynn Phillips); her grandson Gary Shane Fields; her great grandchildren, Garrett Shane Fields, Sara Jewell Fields and Cahaba Duane "Little Bob" Fields; her sister Hilda Ann Peigler; her friend D. J. Shin; and her pet Boo-Boo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Duck Creek Missionary Baptist Church (78 Co Rd 1568, Cullman, AL 35058). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at the Duck Creek Cemetery (78 Co Rd 1568, Cullman, AL 35058).
