She was predeceased by: her husband John Allen Howell; her parents, George Henry Barlow and Ila Mae Knowles Barlow; her siblings, Jesse Barlow and Margie Caslin; her great grandchild Thomas Samuel French; and her son-in-law Mark Anthony Todd.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Howell Todd, John William Howell and George Allen Howell (Vicki); her grandchildren, Rebecca French (Gerrit), Richard Howell (Andrea), Monica Bramlett (David), Timothy Howell, Jarrod Todd (Sarah) and Selma; and her great grandchildren, Brody Howell, Ashlynn Howell, Jack French, Tyler Bramlett, Mason Bramlett and George Todd.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (431 60th St N, Birmingham, AL 35212).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
