He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera McGee and Louis Edgar McGee; and his brothers, Floyd McGee, Edward McGee and Llyod McGee.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy McGee; his children, Pamela Roberts (Shaler), Donna Oakley (Joey), Max McGee (Nikki) and Cheryl Pounders (Ricky); his stepchildren, Ron Gean (late Becky) and Chris Gean; and his sister Aileen Robinson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Florence (12081 State Hwy 20, Florence, AL 35633). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the New Hope Church of Christ (8245 Co Rd 15, Florence, AL 35633).
