He is survived by: the mother of his children Neather Dowdell; his children, Priscella Dowdell of Waverly, AL, Rod Dowdell (Ashanti) of Auburn, AL, Heather Hodo (Curtis) of Opelika, AL and Pamela Dowdell of Opelika, AL; his grandchildren, Rodricus, Bryson, Cameron Dowdell of Auburn, AL, Serenity Frazier, Isaac, Alayna, Nylah Hodo of Opelika, AL, Carter Payton and Carson Williams of Opelika, AL; and his brother Willie Dowdell, Jr. (Bobbie Jean) of Waverly, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel (612 M. L. King Drive SE, Lafayette, AL 36862). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery (22455 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, La Fayette, AL 36862).
