He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Owens and Betty Owens; his grandparents, Ola Mae and Ben Owens; and his sister Kathy Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Phillips Owens; his daughter Wendy Key; his grandchildren, Owen Key and Abigail Key; his sister Vickie Owens Grimes (Bobby); and his nieces, Janet Copeland and Regina Watson. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, and friends.
