She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Simmons and Alma Cobb Simmons; her husband Lavaughn Joseph Barley; her brothers, Charles Edward Simmons and Joe Harold Simmons; and her brother-in-law Joel Kenneth Alford.
She is survived by: her sister Sylvia Simmons Alford of Athens, AL; and her siblings-in-law, Nina Barley Scott, Clara Jean Barley McLean, Gregory Charles McLean (Tiffany), Michelle Coffey, Kevin Simmons (Hayden), Amy Hearn, Brian Simmons and Jessica Scott.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Webb Baptist Church (310 Wallace Buie Rd, Webb, AL 36376). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Ashford City Cemetery (920 N Broadway St, Ashford, AL 36312).
