He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnson Johnson and Mattie Crews Johnson; his brothers, Clayton Johnson, Barron Johnson and Douglas Johnson; and his nephews, Scott Nobbley and Chandler McCain.

He is survived by: his wife Merita Johnson; his daughter Angie Johnson of Wedowee; his grandson Matt Johnson; his granddaughter-in-law Katelin Johnson; his great grandchild Madi Johnson; his siblings, Elaine Nobbley of Jacksboro, TX and Rayford Johnson (Brenda) of Lineville; his nephew David McCain (Terrie); and his caregiver Katelin Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
