He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rich and Audrey Rich; his wife Dorothy Sue Rich; his son-in-law Terry Wendall Reid; his stepdaughter Sandy Coffelt Golden; his stepgranddaughter Brittany Coffelt; and his siblings, Howard Rich (Margaret), Sonny Rich and Bobbie Jo Rich.
He is survived by: his children, LaJuna Reid, Curtis Rich (Theresa) and Robin Roden; his grandchildren, Stephanie Reid Cashio (Bo), Haley Hancock, Courtney Rich and Alex Rowan (Cortnee); his stepchildren, Glenn Coffelt (Gina) and Pamela Liberty (Richard); his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Coffelt (Jessica), Jonathan Coffelt (Amy), Alan Coffelt (Mischa), Adam Coffelt, Kaylee Golden (Jamall) and Elayna Robertson (Matthew); and his sisters, Edna Roper and Peggy Carpenter. He is also survived by ten step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Crematory (322 Nisbet St NW, Jacksonville, AL 36265). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
