We announce the death of Winston Edward Cooper of Wellington, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 81. Winston will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Cooper; his parents, John W. Cooper and Imo Azlee Cooper; his daughter Reneé Smith; and his siblings, Betty Hutchison, Ruth Wooten, Pearl Cuomo, Hubert Cooper, Elmer Cooper and Lloyd "Junior" Cooper.

He is survived by: his daughters, Audrey Fowler (Will), Tiffany Cooper (James) and Nancy Cooper (Isidro); his sister Virginia "Gennie" Strange; and his grandchildren, Felecia Smith (Brandon Jones), Megan Smith (Jimmy Bailey), Ashlee Waddell (Karlton Waddell), Jasmyne Cooper, Jose "Tony" Cooper, Jacob Cooper, Branon, Elijah, Noah, Joseph and Jackson. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
