He was predeceased by: his former wife Bettie Sims; his daughter Paula Martin (Randy); his parents, Paul David, Sr. and Angie E. Sims; and his sister Betty Scurlock (Reece).
He is survived by: his wife Annette T. Sims; his stepson Justin Hamer; his daughters, Melinda Boothe (David) and Connie Kornegay (Lonnie); and his adoptive daughter Tracey Smith (Robbie). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and extended loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy (8100 Hopewell Rd, Bessemer, AL 35022).
