It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benny Hughes of Wetumpka, Alabama, born in Goshen, Alabama, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lockard Hughes and Allie Mae Hughes; and his siblings, Anna Mae Meeks, James Hughes, Lockard Hughes, Jr. of Robert Hughes, J. D and Marion Hughes.

He is survived by : his wife Janie Mason Hughes; his children, Debra Miller (Gregg) and Chris Hughes (Ginny); his brother Raymond Hughes; his grandchildren, Matthew (Corrie), Kyle (Amanda), Brittany (David), Ashton (Foster) and Elijah; and his great grandchildren, Rainier and Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
