He was predeceased by : his children, Deborah Rose Wood and James Paul Wood. He is survived by : his wife Marion Wood; his children, Lawrence D. Wood (Sheri), Robbin Chambliss (Kenny), Vickie Connell (Glen), Wanda Street (Danny), Billy Wayne Wood (Shine), Paula Holley (Keith) and Jonathan Wood (Angie Owens); and his siblings, Patsy Lee (Jerry), Roger Wood (Joan) and Dean Farmer. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Throughout this occupation, he charitably donated numerous services and materials to his clients.
