With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Jeff Matthews (Wetumpka, Alabama), who passed away on November 2, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Sarah Beaird Matthews; his sons, Chet Matthews (Carol) and Mark Matthews (Donna); his siblings, Paddy Preskitt and Barbara Kelley (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Josh Matthews (Laura), Will Matthews (Britton), Macy Taylor (Drew), Abbie Weldon (Ben) and Caroline Heaslett (Max). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
