He was predeceased by: his parents, Linda J. Breeden and Gerald L. Swaney; and his granddaughter Emma Swaney. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Michelle Swaney of Elmore County; his children, Christopher Swaney (Laci) of Elmore County and Aleisha Brown (Levi) of Elmore County; his siblings, Gary Swaney (Karen) of Maryville, Tennessee and Bobbi Thomas (Richard) of Caywood, Kentucky.; his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Jones of Elmore County, Allen Luckie (Eva) of Montgomery County and Scottie Ward of Austin, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Makayla Tucker, Benjamin Brown, Jacob Brown, James Truman Brown and Lexi Swaney. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made toward a scholarship fund established in Chris's honor to support aspiring firefighters in furthering their education.
