With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cora Annette DeVaughn of Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on February 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Johnson and Mittelean Barrett Johnson; her daughter Bridgett Lynette Baker; and her sisters, Agnes Baker and Laura Franklin.

She is survived by: her sons, Tony Lynn Baker (Shelley) of Elmore, Barry Phillip DeVaughn (Lynn) of Wetumpka and Dustin Wayne DeVaughn (Amanda) of Wetumpka; and her brother Oscar Easterling of Wetumpka. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren.

“Annette was a driving force in her community & beloved by many. A strong women who loved her family & fiercely provided for them . Always wanting to help others as a true Christian . Slapout wont be the same but her presence will continue to be felt I'm sure. She was a dear friend of the Foreman & Palmer families @ our Seven Oaks farm house. She was welcome @ our Thanksgiving every year until we had to sell the farm sadly. She brought her famous turnip greens & cornbread. God rest her Soul !”
