She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Perkins; her children, William R. Perkins and Marilyn Zeigler; her parents, Harvie Collier and Mattie Lou Collier; and her siblings, Byron Collier, Winford Collier and Rebecca Mobley.
She is survived by: her daughter Virginia P. Marcus (Robert); her grandchildren, David M. Zeigler (Amanda), Natalie P. Scarborough (Doug), Jennifer Z. Medley (Nicholas), Ashford Perkins (Ashley) and Carolyn M. Karim (Jamil); and her sister Asenath Coker. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
