He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Yates and Molly Yates; his brother Ronnie Evans; and his grandson Noah Beck. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Evans; his children, Deanna McNeal (Scott), Brittney Evans, Scott Carthen (Dana) and Jennifer Garrett (Jimmy); his sisters, Barbara McClain and Elaine White (Stan); and his grandchildren, Conner Cauthen and Will Beck.
