He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Russell Fox, Sr. and Juanita Fox. He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his children, James Russell Fox (Margaret), John Michael Fox (Meredith) and Jennifer Layne Griffey (Fox); his brother Kelly Michael Fox (Greg Sizemore); his grandchildren, Emma Madison Fox, Virginia Layne Fox, Eleanor Cay Fox, Savannah Lee Patterson, Dilana Kate Fox and Kayden Elizabeth Black; and his great grandchild Emersyn Paige Turberville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Amedisys Foundation or Meals on Wheels Montgomery.
