We announce the death of James Gilley of Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 70. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clarence Gilley and Naomi Smith Gilley. He is survived by: his brother Scott Gilley (Ssndra); and his stepsister Donna Porter. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Redland Baptist Church (1266 Dozier Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36093). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
