James Lamar Lightner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2023, at the age of 75, James Lamar Lightner of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Janiece N. Williams Lightner; his children, James Lamar Lightner III (Trey Leigh Lightner), Kristi Nelson (Bruce Nelson), Amy Mitchell and Deborah Ouellette; his grandchildren, Lakin Del Rivero (Asa), Joshua Mears, Hayden Mears, Kayleigh Lightner, Kara Lightner, Heather Wood, Cheyenne Ouellette and Chandler Ouellette; his great grandchildren, Asher Del Rivero and Kaiya Del Rivero; and his parents-in-law, Earl, Trudy Nelson of Prattville, AL, Mildred, Cecil Smith of Hefflin, AL, Lanatha and Jim.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
