He was predeceased by: his parents, Velma Morgan Thrower Adams and Kelley F. Adams; and his sisters, Judy Gates and Brenda Hall. He is survived by: his wife Tralece Adams; his children, Jeannie Mann, John E. "John-John" Adams Jr. (Karla) and Patty Adams; his stepdaughters, Lisa Toole and Sabrina Toole (Ignacio Amaya); and his siblings, Loretta Davis, Kelley Adams, Jr. (Flora) and Joel Adams. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gassett Funeral Home (204 E Charles Ave, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
