Lawrence will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Lawrence is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Lawrence’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Meaux and Anna Teal Meaux; and his siblings, Henry, Leroy, Stella and Florence.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Meaux (Tina), Dean Meaux (Ginger), Charlene Sparks and Rene Bailey (Tommy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Wounded Warrior of Alabama, 6755 Curry Station Road, Eastaboga, AL 36260 in his memory.
