Louise (Herndon) Lambert Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise (Herndon) Lambert of Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on September 18, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Anderson Herndon, Sr. and Mary Jane Hawk; her husbands, James Michael Powers of Carrollton and Ealon M. Lambert of Opelika; and her grandsons, Joseph L. Jordan III and James M. Light.
She is survived by: her friends, Cursillo, Dadeville, Auburn, Charleston, England and Biloxi; her close friend Sunny; her daughters, Brenda Lambert, Teresa Powers Rachal (late Robert P. Rachal), Janie Powers Light, Marcia Lambert Washburn (Henry Roy Washburn III) and Suellen Powers Lambert Young (Lane Young); her grandchildren, Teresa Villareal, Jeffrey N. Light, Aimee Washburn Comer, Henry Roy Washburn IV, Brett Louise Young, Abigail M. Young Shaw and Peter Zifan Wang; her great grandchildren, Nicole Montgomery, Joseph Jordan IV, Madison Light, Savannah Light, Austin Light, Nolan Light, Reese Louise Light, Madison Comer, Lucy Comer, Rod Reedy, Inge C. Washburn, Marcia B. Washburn, Susanna Washburn, Henry Roy Washburn V, Joshua Washburn, Daniel Washburn, Hugo Washburn, Hannah Washburn and Heidi Washburn; and her great great grandchildren, Kayla, Lily Montgomery, Norway, Amy Jordan and Halle Reedy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Rector's Discretionary Fund for helping those in need.
