He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Dean Head; his wife Carol Smith; his stepson Daniel "Bo" McGee; and his siblings, Larry Smith, Mike Head, James Smith, Gary Smith and Diane Adair.
He is survived by: his brothers, Jeff Smith (Darlene), Daryle Smith (Amy) and Jerry Smith (Rachel); his stepdaughter Tammy McGee; and his close friend Lynn Barrentine. He is also survived by two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
