She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wilson and Grace Johnston. She is survived by: her son James Yates; her stepsons, Darrell Yates and Daniel Yates; and her sisters, Ora Addy, Lela Rogers, Mattie Rivers and Dorothy Brinkman. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Chapel (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the Wilmer Cemetery (13630 Cemetery Rd, Wilmer, AL 36587).
